Sometimes it's the simple things that bring great joy to our lives - reading a book with your child, watching the sun come up, looking for seashells on the beach, or making your own Taco Seasoning. Ok, so maybe it's a wee bit of a stretch to include the last item, but you will find a certain amount of satisfaction in preparing your own seasoning of buying the high sodium variety at the store. Several recipes on the blog call for Taco Seasoning in the ingredients list, so having some on hand during your Daniel Fast will prove to be a big help.
Taco Seasoning
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon oregano
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
Yield: 48 servings (serving size: ¼ teaspoon)

I used my last packet of taco seasoning mix last evening. I don't know why I haven't made this homemade mix before. Thanks for posting it and reminding me of the simplicity of making your own!
Hi, Jane! Thanks for your comment. Sounds like the timing on my post was perfect! Sometimes I need those reminders myself. :)
